Third-ranked Catfish (7-4) made lots of trouble for top-ranked Buffaloes (11-0) in Hanoi on Sunday. Buffaloes managed to secure only two-point victory 96-94. However their fans expected easier game. Buffaloes outrebounded Catfish 52-33 including a 20-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Buffaloes looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American swingman Tamyrik Fields (198-1996, college: Augusta, agency: Interperformances) fired a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 19 rebounds for the winners. The other American import forward Hassan Thomas (203-1996, college: Emporia St., agency: Interperformances) chipped in 14 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Malek Green (201-1999, college: YSU) produced a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Undefeated Buffaloes have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-0 record. Catfish at the other side dropped to the fourth place with four games lost. Buffaloes are looking forward to face league's second-placed Heat in Saigon in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. There was no surprise in Nha Trang where 7th ranked Wings (1-13) were defeated by fourth ranked Dolphins (8-5) 89-81. Dolphins dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Wings' 38 and had 17 for 24 from the free-throw line, while City Wings only scored one point from the stripe. They outrebounded City Wings 58-43 including a 40-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Mykal Jenkins (202-2000, college: St.Petersburg) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). The other American import point guard Jaylyn Richardson (189-1998, college: WOU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals for the winners. The former international guard Khoa Dang Tran Dang (183-1997) replied with 22 points, 8 assists and 4 steals and Ukrainian forward Yevgen Sakhniuk (201-1995, college: Jefferson) added 10 points, 15 rebounds and 9 assists in the effort for City Wings.
