SBL Round 12: #1 Bank of Taiwan is defeated by Yulon Luxgen

There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in SBL. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Bank of Taiwan (21-7) against third ranked Yulon Luxgen on Thursday night. Yulon Luxgen were defeated by Yulon Luxgen 85-74. Yulon Luxgen forced 21 Bank of Taiwan turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Torren Jones (206-1994, college: William Penn) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 4 blocks and Pu Xia who added 14 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals during the contest. The best for the losing side was American swingman Zak Irvin (198-1994, college: Michigan) with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Yulon Luxgen have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 16-12 record having five points less than leader Bank of Taiwan. Bank of Taiwan at the other side still keeps top place with seven games lost. Yulon Luxgen are looking forward to face league's second-placed Taiwan Beer in Taipei in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bank of Taiwan will play against Jeoutai and is hoping to win this game.
Fifth-ranked Pauian (2-26) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Jeoutai (11-17). Jeoutai managed to secure only three-point victory 66-63. However their fans expected easier game. The winners were led by forward Jun-Han Chen (196-1996) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and Zheng-Kai Feng supported him with 17 points. Even 19 points and 5 rebounds by American guard Dashaun Wiggins (188-1991, college: Portland St.) did not help to save the game for Pauian. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Jeoutai maintains fourth position with 11-17 record. Pauian lost fourth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 26 lost games. Jeoutai will play against league's leader Bank of Taiwan in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Pauian will play again against Jeoutai (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 12: bottom-ranked Pauian was destroyed by Bank of Taiwan 81-61. Taiwan Beer managed to outperform Jeoutai 65-53. Yulon Luxgen managed to beat Pauian 85-68.

They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Americans were the main players on the court.
