Regular Season Round 12: Pauian - Yulon Luxgen 68-85

Not a big story in a game when 5th ranked Pauian (2-26) was defeated by third ranked Yulon Luxgen (16-12) 85-68 on Sunday. Yulon Luxgen outrebounded Pauian 40-25 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Pauian's players. The best player for the winners was American power forward Torren Jones (206-1994, college: William Penn) who scored 31 points and 8 rebounds. Pu Xia chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Dashaun Wiggins (188-1991, college: Portland St.) who recorded 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Guang-Qian Jiang (184-1998) added 13 points respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Yulon Luxgen have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 16-12 record having five points less than leader Bank of Taiwan. Pauian lost fourth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 26 lost games. Yulon Luxgen will meet league's second-placed Taiwan Beer in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pauian will play against Jeoutai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
