Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Hotshots can celebrate finally their first win this season after three consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Black Bears (0-5) 121-109 on Saturday. Hotshots dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to Black Bears's 34 and made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Hotshots outrebounded Macau 53-36 including a 41-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Hotshots looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Hotshots made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American power forward Clinton Chapman (208-1989, college: Texas, agency: Diamond Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds. Naturalized American forward Zavier Lucero (198-1999, college: Cal Maritime) chipped in 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Mexican forward Tony Mitchell (203-1992, college: N.Texas) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Hotshots (1-3) left bottom position moving up to ninth place, which they share with Titan UGR and Blackwater. It was Macau's fifth loss in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. Hotshots is looking forward to face higher ranked Terrafirma Dyip (#5) in Makati City in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Macau will have a break next round.
Undefeated leader Painters delivered the fourth consecutive victory. This time they crushed 8th ranked Bossing (1-3) 151-95 in Manila. It was a good game for American center Jaylen Johnson (206-1996, college: Louisville, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with 20 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. Andrei Caracut contributed with 22 points for the winners. American center Robert Upshaw (213-1994, college: Washington) replied with 24 points and 9 rebounds for Blackwater. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Painters have a solid four-game winning streak. Rain or Shine maintains first position with 4-0 record. Blackwater at the other side dropped to the ninth place with three games lost. They share the position with Hotshots and Titan UGR. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Bottom-ranked Black Bears (0-5) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 110-94 loss to ninth ranked Beermen (2-2) in Manila on Tuesday evening. Justin Patton had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 17 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. The best for the losing side was Tony Mitchell with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion moved-up to eighth place. Loser Black Bears still closes the standings with five games lost. SM Beermen's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Manila to the arena Ginebra Kings.

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Beermen's (2-2) road loss to eighth ranked Giga (2-1) 92-118 on Saturday. TNT Tropang looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. South Sudanese-American center Bol Bol (218-1999, college: Oregon) had a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 18 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Calvin-John Oftana (195-1996) chipped in 18 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was American center Marcus Lee (208-1994, college: California) with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 14 rebounds and center June Mar Fajardo (210-1989) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 20 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Very expected game in Makati where 11th ranked FiberXers (1-4) were defeated by seventh ranked Kings (2-1) 99-93 on Sunday. Ginebra Kings looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Naturalized American forward Justin Brownlee (197-1988, college: St.John's) had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Rhon Jhay Abarrientos (181-1999) chipped in 32 points and 4 assists during the contest. Brownlee is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Kings' coach Tim Cone used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
