Very expected game in Makati where 11th rankedFiberXers (1-4) were defeated by seventh ranked Kings (2-1) 99-93 on Sunday. Ginebra Kings looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Naturalized American forward Justin Brownlee (197-1988, college: St.John's) had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Rhon Jhay Abarrientos (181-1999) chipped in 32 points and 4 assists during the contest. Brownlee is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Kings' coach Tim Cone used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was naturalized American guard Michael Williams (188-1991, college: CS Fullerton) with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and American center Kylor Kelley (213-1997, college: Oregon St.) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Four FiberXers players scored in double figures. Ginebra Kings moved-up to sixth place, which they share with TNT Tropang. FiberXers lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with four games lost.
