Regular Season Round 6: Hotshots - Macau BB 121-109

Hotshots can celebrate finally their first win this season after three consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Black Bears (0-5) 121-109 on Saturday. Hotshots dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to Black Bears 's 34 and made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Hotshots outrebounded Macau 53-36 including a 41-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Hotshots looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Hotshots made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American power forward Clinton Chapman (208-1989, college: Texas, agency: Diamond Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds. Naturalized American forward Zavier Lucero (198-1999, college: Cal Maritime) chipped in 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Mexican forward Tony Mitchell (203-1992, college: N.Texas) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and American Damian Chongqui (-1998) added 20 points and 10 assists respectively. Five Macau players scored in double figures. Hotshots (1-3) left bottom position moving up to ninth place, which they share with Titan UGR and Blackwater. It was Macau 's fifth loss in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost.
