Antranik was smashed at home by 19 points 95-114 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Antranik. Sagesse dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Antranik's 44. They outrebounded Antranik 41-26 including 16 on the offensive glass. Sagesse looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. The best player for the winners was American power forward Paris Bass (207-1995, college: Detroit) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Youssef Khayat (206-2003, college: BGSU) chipped in 24 points and 8 rebounds. American point guard Jeremiah Gambrell Jr (190-2000, college: Alcorn St., agency: 0z Sports Agency) produced 32 points and 9 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sagesse maintains second position with 11-3 record having just three points less than leader Al Riyadi. Antranik at the other side keeps the seventh place with seven games lost. They share the position with Beirut Club. Sagesse are looking forward to face Antonine (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Tadamon can celebrate finally their first win this season after 13 consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Dik El Mehdi, where they defeated Maristes (5-9) 97-81 on Thursday. Eugene Campbell III scored 30 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners. Marquis Moore responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Tadamon maintains twelfth position with 1-13 record. It was Maristes' fifth loss in a row. They keep the ninth place with nine games lost. Tadamon will meet higher ranked Al Markaziyyah (#4) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Maristes will play against the league's leader Al Riyadi (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
In the last two games of round 14 Al Riyadi defeated NSA in Beirut 107-90. Hoops were beaten by Batroun at home 75-83.
