There was a surprise result in Beirut where eleventh rankedBatroun (3-11) defeated higher ranked Hoops (8-6) 83-75 on Wednesday. Batroun shot 25 for 35 from the free-throw line, while Hoops only scored nine points from the stripe. Batroun had a 32-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Desi Washington (188-1992, college: St.Peter's) scored 27 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import swingman Darious Hall (200-1997, college: Cent Arkansas) chipped in 28 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Guard George Yves-Daaboul (178-1995, agency: BIG) responded with 19 points and 4 assists and American Kedrian Johnson (190-1999, college: WVU) scored 18 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hoops' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Batroun moved-up to tenth place, which they share with NSA. Loser Hoops keep the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with Homentmen and Al Markaziyyah.
