The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Beirut Club as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Beirut Club smashed 6th ranked Atlas at home 132-76. Beirut Club looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Atlas' players. It was a good game for American-Georgian guard Michael Dixon (186-1990, college: Memphis) who led his team to a victory with 32 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field). The former international center Naim Rabay (206, college: Weatherford JC) contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American guard Myles Carter (185-1999, college: Delaware St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds for Atlas. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated Beirut Club (5-0) have an impressive five-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Sagesse. Atlas at the other side dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Atlas will play next round against Antranik trying to get back on the winning streak. Beirut Club will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
Undefeated Al Riyadi (4-1) recorded its first loss in Beirut. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Dynamo (4-1) 83-76. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Al Riyadi.
