The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Beirut Club as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Beirut Club smashed 6th ranked Atlas at home 132-76. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Atlas. Beirut Club shot 62.3 percent from the field and made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. Beirut Club had a 36-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 20 long-distance shots on high 54.1 percentage. The former international center Naim Rabay (206, college: Weatherford JC) contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Beirut Club players scored in double figures. American guard Myles Carter (185-1999, college: Delaware St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Sidney Wilson (201-1999, college: SIUE, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) added 23 points in the effort for Atlas. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Beirut Club (5-0) have an impressive five-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Sagesse. Atlas at the other side dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Atlas will play next round against Antranik trying to get back on the winning streak. Beirut Club will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
