Antranik - Champville 80-77 The most exciting game of round 6 in the LBL took place in Beirut. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Champville (3-2) to eighth ranked Antranik (3-3) 80-77 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Champville. The best player for the winners was guard George Yves-Daaboul (178-95) who scored 16 points and 9 assists. Jean-Marc Jarrouge chipped in 22 points. Four Antranik players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was international guard Omar Jamaleddine (193, college: SLC) who recorded 21 points and 4 steals and the former international point guard Miguel Martinez (188-88) added 16 points respectively. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. They made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. International guard Ali Mansour (185-98) scored 19 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals to lead the charge for the winners and the former international swingman Jean Abdel Nour (198-83) chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) during the contest. Four Al Riyadi players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Elios Saad (202-1) with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and Nader Dhainy scored 7 points and 6 assists. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Homentmen's players. International forward Hayk Gyokchyan (203-90, college: F&M) had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international guard Sergio El Darwich (193-96, college: Maine) chipped in 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. It was a good game for international power forward Mohamad Haidar (203-90, college: Michigan Tech) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. International guard Jimmy Salem (190-95) contributed with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners.
