Lebanese DLBL round 22 best performance: Jeremiah Gambrell Jr. (by Hoops Agents)

American Point guard Jeremiah Gambrell Jr. (190-PG-2000, agency: 0z Sports Agency) put on an amazing game in the last round for Antranik Beirut, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 22.
The 25-year old player was the main contributor (51 points, three rebounds and six assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Maristes (#11, 5-17) with 16-point margin 94-78. Antranik is placed at 4th position in Lebanese DLBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Antranik will need more victories to improve their 13-9 record. In the team's last game Gambrell Jr. had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range and got nine three-pointers out of 15 attempts. He turned to be Antranik's top player in his first season with the team. Former Alcorn State University star has very solid stats this year. Gambrell Jr. is in league's top in points (3rd best: 25.3ppg) and averages impressive 60.4% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Nigerian Mike Adewunmi (198-G-1999) of Beirut Club. Adewunmi had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 13 rebounds. Of course he led Beirut Club to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Tadamon (#12, 1-21) 91-67. Beirut Club's 8th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 10-12 record. Adewunmi is one of the most experienced players at Beirut Club and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Canadian center Simi Shittu (208-C-1999) of league's second-best Sagesse - Al Hekmeh Beirut. Shittu scored 25 points and grabbed 23 rebounds (!!!). Despite Shittu's great performance the Sagesse lost 86-94 to #1 ranked Al Riyadi. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Sagesse had another "accident". It may be a crucial game and cause dropping from the group of top ranked teams. The record is still good, but 4th lost game is hopefully really an accident. Shittu's teammates are also very good. That's why having such high stats is even more impressive. Shittu has a very solid season. In 3 games in Lebanon he scored 23.3ppg.
