Excellence keeps Williams for another season

Yokohama Excellence (B2 League) re-signed 27-year old American 201cm forward Elyjah Williams (college: Northwestern) for the upcoming season. He has played there for the last two seasons, helping them reach the semifinals. This past season was a successful one for him, as he was voted to the Asia-Basket.com All-Japanese B2 League Second Team.
Williams has also played professionally in Montenegro (Decic), Czech Republic (NH Ostrava), and Montenegro.
He won the Japanese B League D3 championship title in 2025. He was selected to the Asia-Basket.com Japanese B League D3 All-Defensive Team in 2025.
Williams graduated from Northwestern University in 2022, marking his fifth season in pro basketball. He also played for Fairleigh Dickinson University for four years.
