SunRockers keep Hawkinson for another season

Sunrockers Shibuya (B1 League) re-signed 30-year old Japanese-American international 208cm forward Josh Hawkinson (college: WSU) for the upcoming season. He has played there for the last three seasons.
He also represented Japan at the FIBA Asia Cup in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) last year. During this event, he scored an average of 18.3 points per game and had rebounds per game.
Hawkinson has played previously for two other teams: the Fighting Eagles and the Brave Warriors.
His team finished as the regular season runner-up in the Japanese B League D2 Central Division in 2019. He was voted to the Asia-Basket.com All-Japanese League All-Domestic Players Team in 2025.
Hawkinson graduated from Washington State University in 2017 and is entering his tenth season in pro basketball.
