Ryukyu Golden Kings Okinawa (B1 League) re-signed experienced 35-year old USA international 206cm power forward Jack Cooley (college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) for season 2026-27. He has played there for the last seven seasons. He helped them to make it to the Japanese League final. A very spectacular season in his career as he was awarded Asia-Basket.com All-Japanese League Center of the Year and voted to All-Imports Team and League Player of the Week (2 times). Cooley played 8 games in East Asia Super League where he recorded very impressive stats: 16.0ppg, 11.5rpg and 2.0apg last season. He contributed to his team making it to the semifinals. Good season as he was also here selected League Player of the Week and voted to Asia-Basket.com East Asia Super League Third Team. Cooley has been regularly called to the USA Senior National Team since 2025.
He is a very experienced player. Cooley has played professionally between Germany (EnBW Ludwigsburg), Italy (Sassari), Spain (Unicaja), Turkey (Trabzonspor), NBA (Cleveland Cavaliers, Utah Jazz, Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings), NBA G League (SLC Stars and Stockton Kings) and The Basketball Tournament (Money Team).
Among many awards, his team won the Japanese Cup in 2025. He received the Asia-Basket.com All-Japanese B League Player of the Year award and the Asia-Basket.com All-Japanese B League Import Player of the Year award back in 2023.
Cooley graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2013 and this will be his 14th season in pro basketball.
