The Regular Season in B1 League is almost over. Almost everything is clear. There are only 3 rounds left. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

An interesting game for Tochigi Brex (43-14) which played road game in Nagoya against second-best Dolphins (41-16). First ranked Tochigi Brex had an easy win 87-69. Tochigi Brex had a 35-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Tochigi Brex made 7 blocks. It was a good game for American center Grant Jerrett (208-1993, college: Arizona) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import power forward Gavin Edwards (206-1988, college: UConn, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. American forward Aaron Henry (198-1999, college: Michigan St., agency: Diamond Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for Nagoya DD. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains first place with 43-14 record. Nagoya DD lost third consecutive game. They keep the second position with 16 games lost. They share it with Sea Horses M.. Tochigi Brex will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nagoya DD will play again at home against the league's leader Tochigi Brex and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
B1 League top team - Velca (45-12) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat twelfth ranked Fighting Eagles (17-40) in Nagoya 83-73. American Jarrell Brantley (201-1996, college: Charleston) stepped up and scored 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and Stanley Johnson chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Ryuto Yasuoka (188-1995) with 20 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Velca have a solid series of four victories in a row. Nagasaki maintains first place with 45-12 record. FE Nagoya lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with 40 games lost. They share it with Ibaraki R.. Nagasaki will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. FE Nagoya will play at home against the league's leader Nagasaki (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Sapporo supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Thunders (40-17) played at the court of 5th ranked Sapporo (35-22). Thunders smashed Sapporo 105-65 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Sapporo. Kerry Blackshear Jr nailed 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Keisei Tominaga came up with 29 points for Hokkaido L. in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Thunders have a solid series of three victories in a row. Gunma CT maintains second place with 40-17 record having just three points less than leader Nagasaki, which they share with Ryukyu. Hokkaido L. at the other side keeps the fifth position with 22 games lost. They share it with Sendai 89ers. Gunma CT will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hokkaido L. will play against the league's second-placed Gunma CT (#2) and hope to secure a win.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 57: Shiga L-Stars were smashed by Alvark Tokyo on the road 101-74. Chiba Jets won against Hiroshima D. on its own court 83-68. Kawasaki unfortunately lost to Koshigaya A. in Tokyo 84-90. Kyoto H. managed to beat Osaka E. at home 88-78. Saga B. was defeated by Ryukyu on the opponent's court 92-78. Sea Horses M. smashed San-en NP in a home game 87-67. Yokohama BC lost to Sendai 89ers on the road 94-100. Shimane SM unfortunately lost to Ibaraki R. on its own court 79-88. Chiba recorded a loss to Sunrockers Sh. in Tokyo 69-79. Toyama G. defeated Akita NH at home 82-72.
The most impressive performance of 57th round was 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by Brock Motum of Toyama G..



Alvark Tokyo - Shiga L-Stars 101-74

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Alvark (39-18) crushed 10th ranked Lakestars (22-35) in Tokyo 101-74 on Saturday. Alvark Tokyo looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Shiga L-Stars' players. Swingman Zack Baranski (193-1992) nailed 18 points for the winning side and American-Ugandan center Brandon Davies (208-1991, college: BYU) accounted for 13 points and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots). Four Alvark players scored in double figures. Greek-American center Zach Auguste (208-1993, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) came up with 17 points and 5 rebounds and American-German power forward Ryan Kriener (208-1998, college: Iowa, agency: Pensack Sports) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Shiga L-Stars in the defeat.
