The game in Sapporo supposed to be also quite interesting. Second rankedThunders (40-17) played at the court of 5th ranked Sapporo (35-22). Thunders smashed Sapporo 105-65 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Sapporo. Gunma CT dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Sapporo 's 30 and made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Gunma CT looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Hokkaido L. 's players. American forward Kerry Blackshear Jr (208-1997, college: Florida) nailed 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and German Johannes Thiemann (206-1994) accounted for 16 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Thunders players scored in double figures. International guard Keisei Tominaga (188-2001, college: Nebraska) came up with 29 points and American forward Kevin Jones (203-1989, college: WVU) added 9 points respectively for Hokkaido L. in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Thunders have a solid series of three victories in a row. Gunma CT maintains second place with 40-17 record having just three points less than leader Nagasaki, which they share with Ryukyu. Hokkaido L. at the other side keeps the fifth position with 22 games lost. They share it with Sendai 89ers.
