American Jarrett Culver (198-G-1999) had an amazing evening in the last round for Sendai 89ers and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 56.
The 26-year old guard had the game-high 35 points adding six rebounds and six assists for Sendai 89ers in his team's victory, helping them to crush Koshigaya A. (#10, 18-38) with 24-point margin 102-78. 89ers maintains the 6th position in their group in the Japanese B1 League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Sendai 89ers will need more victories to improve their 34-22 record. In the team's last game Culver had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range. He turned to be 89ers' top player in his first season with the team. Texas Tech University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Culver is league's best scorer averaging so far 26.0ppg. Culver is in league's top in and averages solid 55.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young New Zealand center Yannick Wetzell (206-C-1996) of Akita Northern Happinets. Wetzell impressed basketball fans with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as Happinets lost that game 76-108 to the higher-ranked Hokkaido L. (#5, 35-21). Akita NH managed to keep the same 13th spot in East. 46 lost games are too many comparing to just ten victories Happinets managed to get this year. Wetzell is a newcomer at Akita NH and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Christopher Smith (193-G-1994) of Hiroshima Dragonflies (#6). Smith got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds . He was a key player of Dragonflies, leading his team to a 81-69 win against the lower-ranked Shiga L-Stars (#10, 22-34). Hiroshima D. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in West. Their record at this point is 31 victories and 25 lost games. Smith has a great season in Japan. After 56 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.5ppg (8th best).

4. Dererk Pardon (203-C-1996) of Chiba - 20 points, 15 rebounds and 3 assists

The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
