Yannis Morin (ex Tenerife) agreed terms with Grouses

Newly promoted Toyama Grouses (B1 League) signed 31-year-old French ex-international 208cm power forward Yannis Morin, who is represented by Octagon Europe, for the upcoming season. Morin was the top rebounder at La Laguna Tenerife in the Spanish Liga Endesa. In four games, he averaged 4.3ppg, 4.5rpg, and 2.3apg last season. He also played for Happinets earlier in the season.
Morin was also a member of the French international program for some years. He played for the French Senior National Team in 2021 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2013.
Morin is a very experienced player. He has traveled extensively during his pro career, playing in six different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia, and North America). Morin has played for teams in France (Cholet Basket, Le Mans, Champagne, Chorale de Roanne, and SIG Strasbourg), Italy, NBA (OKC Thunder), NBA G League (OKC Blue and San Diego Clippers), and NBA Summer League (OKC Thunder). His team reached the Spanish League Semifinals in 2025.
Among many awards, he was voted Eurobasket.com All-French ProB Defensive Player of the Year in 2017.
