Shinagawa - Kanazawa 89-69

Everything went according to plan when tenth ranked Shinagawa (4-4) outplayed at home bottom-ranked Kanazawa (0-8) 89-69 on Friday. It was a great shooting night for Shinagawa especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. The winners were led by American center Hayden Koval (216-1997, college: Cincinnati, agency: Diamond Sports) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import forward Jordan Faison (201-1994, college: CPP) supported him with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Even a double-double of 20 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists by Lithuanian power forward Norbertas Norbertas (208-1995, college: Jax State) did not help to save the game for Kanazawa. American forward Deandre Abram (203-1997, college: Milwaukee) added 17 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Shinagawa have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place. Loser Kanazawa still closes the standings with eight games lost. Shinagawa will meet at home Tokyo (#11) in the next round. Kanazawa will play against Veertien Mie (#16) in Yokkaichi and hopes to get finally their first victory.
