Nagasaki lands Jarrell Brantley

Newly promoted Nagasaki Velca (B1 League) tabbed 27-year old American 201cm power forward Jarrell Brantley (college: Charleston) for new season. Brantley played most recently at Utah Jazz in the NBA. In four games he averaged 5.5ppg and 1.5rpg last season. He also played for New Zealand Breakers in Australian NBL where in 36 games he had very impressive stats: 16.2ppg, 6.0rpg, 1.7apg and 1.5spg. Brantley can count that season as a very successful as was voted to Australiabasket.com All-Australian NBL Honorable Mention.
In 2019 he was drafted by Indiana Pacers (NBA) in second round (50 th overall). The former College of Charleston standout is in his fifth season in pro basketball.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in five different countries playing on four different continents. Brantley is familiar with European, Latin American, Australian and of course North American leagues. He has played previously professionally in Puerto Rico (Leones), Russia (UNICS Kazan), NBA G League (Greensboro Swarm), NBA Summer League (LA Clippers and Utah Jazz White) and The Basketball Tournament (Friday Beers).
Among many awards he won NBA Summer League in Salt Lake City championship title in 2021. Brantley was selected to CAA All-Defensive Team back in 2017.
