Top ranked Saga B. (22-6) recorded its sixth loss on the court of sixth ranked Aomori W. on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Aomori W. 83-78. It ended at the same time the 15-game winning streak of Saga B.. They outrebounded Saga B. 38-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. Aomori W. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American power forward EJ Montgomery (208-1999, college: Kentucky) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners. His fellow American import forward Alex Davis (206-1992, college: Fresno St.) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds. Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-1990) produced 31 points and 8 assists for lost side. Saga B.'s coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Aomori W. (12-16) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Nishinomiya S. Saga B. at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost. They share it with Koshigaya A.. Tokyo Z - Koshigaya A. 54-90

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Tokyo: Koshigaya A. (#2) and Tokyo Z (#7). Tokyo Z was crushed at home by 36 points 54-90 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Koshigaya A. outrebounded Tokyo Z 41-24 including 30 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Tokyo Z's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Brekkott Chapman (206-1996, college: Weber St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field).
