Japan sealed second place in Group B en route to the Final Phase beating Guam 102-63. The Akatsuki Japan squad improved to 2-1, while Guam slipped to 1-2 for third place. Both teams will advance to the next stage.
Japan started with a 27-15 run and never looked behind. They won all the quarters of the game and reached three-digit number at the end.
Keisei Tominaga (188-G-2001, college: Nebraska) led the way with 20 points and Yudai Nishida (190-F-1999) brought 16. Earnest Ross (198-G-1991, college: Missouri, agency: Haylett Sports) scored 17 in a loss and Tai Wesley (201-F-1986, college: Utah St.) had 14.
