Saudi Arabia cruised to an 84-59 victory over India, overcoming an early deficit with a dominant second quarter and maintaining control for the remainder of the game.
India started brightly, playing with pace and aggression in the first quarter. Accurate shooting and strong transition play gave them a narrow 25-24 lead after ten minutes. Saudi Arabia replied with a 21-6 surge in the second frame to take a 45-31 lead at halftime.
India tried to rally in the third quarter but couldn’t close the gap, as Saudi Arabia matched their scoring bursts and extended their lead to 17 points heading into the final period. The fourth quarter saw Saudi Arabia shut the door completely, controlling the tempo and adding another 18 points to finish with a comfortable 25-point victory.
Mohammed Alsuwailem (211-C-1998) top-scored for the winners with 15 points and Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman (196-G-1994, college: Michigan) brought 14. Palpreet Brar (204-C-1994) notched 20 points in a loss.
