Australia - South Korea 85-71

Australia fired past South Korea at the start of their 2025 FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers. Nick Kay (206-PF-1992, college: MSU Denver) posted 21 points and 12 rebounds to pace the Boomers.
South Korea led throughout the first half. The Asian team eked out a 15-14 lead after ten minutes. They extended the margin at 4-point mark at the big break 40-36. The teams traded baskets throughout the third term as South Korea enjoyed a 4-point lead at the final intermission. But Australia exploded with a 32-14 rally in the fourth term to snatch the victory. Ben Henshall (195-F/G-2004) and Dejan Vasiljevic (190-G-1997, college: Miami, FL) netted 14 points each for Australia. Ra Guna (203-F-1989, college: Missouri) answered with 21 points and 14 rebounds for South Korea.
