Indonesia win title in Bangkok, gain promotion to FIBA Asia Cup Division A

Indonesia - Iran 55:54

Indonesia overcame Iran in a thriller to gain promotion to FIBA Asia Cup Division A. Indonesia grabbed the title in Division B with a 55-54 victory. Both teams exchanged the wins in the first half, whilst Indonesia posted a 19-14 run to take a 43-39 advantage as Dewa Made closed the 30 minutes of the game. Iran managed to win the last stanza 15-12 to catch up with the opponents, however could not win the game. Nahideh Aghdash nailed three at the very end for the final result.
Nathania Orville (176-SF-2000) stepped up with 16 points and Kim Pierre-Louis (183-F/C-1993, college: UMass, agency: Areus Sports) had 11. Negin Rasoulipour (176-SF-2000) and Faezeh Shahriari (175-SG-1994) delivered 14 points each in the losing effort.
