Sanae Motokawa (175-F-92) scored 24 points to lead the winners. Ramu Tokashiki (191-C/F-91) added 18 points and 7 rebounds and was named the MVP after the game. Japan led from start to finish in this one. They rallied to a 44:22 halftime advantage. Japan followed with a strong 24:12 run in the third term to post a 34-point lead at the final break. They never looked back afterwards cruising to the victory. Chinatsu Yamamoto finished with 16 points for the champions. South Korea - Taiwan 52-45 South Korea stepped onto the pedestal in Wuhan. They knocked down Taiwan to clinch the Bronze medals at the Asian Championship. Kim Danbi (180-F-90) scored 15 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to pace the Korean team. South Korea accounted for a 13:6 lead after ten minutes. Taiwan narrowed the distance 6-point mark at the interval. But South Korea held their opponents to just 24 points in the second half and marched to the victory.
