Indonesia eased past Mongolia in Division B opener of the Asia Cup 2023. Indonesia started with a 17-10 run and added a 16-11 rally in the second period. Mongolia replied with an 18-16 rally in the third quarter, whilst Indonesia closed the game with a final 20-13 run.
Kim Pierre-Louis (183-F/C-1993, college: UMass, agency: Areus Sports) top-scored for the winners with 19 points and Jesslyn Aritonang (170-PG-2002) brought 8. Dyah Lestari (180-F-1998) and Henny Sutjiono (168-SF-1994) delivered 7 points each in a win. Nyamjav Nandinkhusel (177-F-2006) and Ariuntsetseg Bat-Erdene (180-C-2001) answered with 9 points each in the losing effort.
