Filipinas end up in sixth place with loss to Korea in Fiba Women's Asia Cup

THE Philippines ended up in sixth place after bowing to Korea, 71-80, in the Fiba Women's Asia Cup classification on Saturday at the Sydney Olympic Sports Centre. Park Jihyun scored 24 on 9 of 17 shooting, while Danbi Kim (175-G/F-1992) went 5 for 9 and finished with 14 points for Korea. Afril Bernardino (165-G-1991) led Gilas Women with 16 points on 7 of 12 shooting. Danielle Animam (192-C/F-1998) shot 4 for 6 and wound up with 12 points, which was matched by Khate Castillo (162-SG-1996) off the bench on a 4 of 7 clip.
