Xu Han (206-C-1999) has brought China the win over New Zealand at the 2023 FIBA Asia Cup. New York Liberty center scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in 25 minutes of action as China won 80-46. China took an 18-13 lead at the start and added a 15-7 rally in the second period. The third quarter was decisive in the game as China erupted with a massive 32-7 surge to seal the win.
Meng Li (185-SG-1995) and Zhenqi Pan (190-C-1995) poured in 10 points each for the winners. Grace Hunter (178-G-2000, college: FIU) replied with 10 points in the losing effort, whilst Stella Beck (183-G-1995, college: SMC) and Esra McGoldrick (188-F-1999, college: NC State) poured in 9 each.
