Iraq have won Group E of the 2025 Asia Cup Pre-Qualifiers. They overcame Oman 82-65 to end up as the the top team of the group with a 4-1 record. Iraq started with a 19-18 rally and led 8 points at the halftime. Moreover, they won the third period 29-17, whilst Oman closed the game with a final 20-17 rally.
Demario Mayfield (196-G-1991, college: Angelo St.) stepped up with 21 points and 10 rebounds, whilst Karrar Hamzah (187-G/F-1995) notched 18. Mahmood Al-Souli (203-C-1993) answered with 19 points in defeat and Abdul Battashi had 12.
