FIBA Asia Cup: Wael Arakji sends Lebanon to the Final

Jordan - Lebanon 85:86

Wael Arakji (194-G-1994) sent Lebanon to the Final of the FIBA Asia Cup. He went all the way to the hoop, scoring the tough left-hander over Zaid Abbas to bring his team 86-85 win over Jordan.
Jordan opened the game with a 21-17 run, whilst Lebanon replied with a strong 29-20 rally. Once again Jordan took the lead with a 23-16 run as Dar Tucker closed the third period for 64-62. Lebano grabbed the lead back in the last stanza and led by Wael Arakji managed to clinch the win. The latter top-scored with 25 points, whilst Sergio El Darwich (193-G-1996, college: Maine) netted 18. Amin Abuhawwas (190-G-1994, college: Mars Hill) scored 24 in a loss and Freddy Ibrahim (190-G-1996, college: Tampa) brought 17.
