There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in CBA. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Flying Tigers in Beijing on Monday night. Visitors were rolled over by Ducks 111-84. Beijing D. outrebounded Xinjiang 37-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. Beijing D. shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 58.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. scored 29 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Eugene German (183-1997, college: NIU) chipped in 16 points and 10 assists during the contest. Zach Nutall responded with 18 points and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ducks are looking forward to face Liaoning in Yingkou in the next round. Flying Tigers will play on the road against Beijing and are hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Yingkou. host Flying Leopards defeated Guangsha Lions 95-79. American guard Dezmine Wells (196-1992, college: Maryland) notched 30 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and Lanqing Wang supported him with 19 points. Even 24 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) by did not help to save the game for Guangsha L.. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Flying Leopards will play against Beijing D. on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Guangsha Lions will play against Fujian S. in Jinjiang to get more than just one victory in their record.
A very close game took place in Beijing between Royal Fighters and Pioneers. Royal Fighters got a very close home victory over Pioneers. Royal Fighters managed to escape with a 3-point win 92-89 on Tuesday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The best player for the winners was Sanning Liao who scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. Benson Lin produced 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Royal Fighters will meet at home Xinjiang in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pioneers will play against Jilin NE T. in Changchun and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 2: winless Sichuan lost to undefeated Qingdao E. on the opponent's court 64-96. Fujian S. outscored Jiangsu D. in a home game 104-80. Shanghai recorded a loss to Nanjing on the road 105-97. Shanxi L. defeated Ningbo R. on its own court 95-87. Winless Jilin NE T. was beaten by Shenzhen L. in a road game 99-81. Winless Zhejiang GB. lost to undefeated Guangdong ST at home 98-101.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 14 points by Shaojie Wang of Guangdong ST.



Beijing D. - Xinjiang FT 111-84

American guard Dezmine Wells (196-1992, college: Maryland) notched 30 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and Lanqing Wang supported him with 19 points. The best player for the winners was American guard Quinndary Weatherspoon (190-1996, college: MSU) who scored 16 points and 4 assists. The other American import guard Joseph Young (188-1992, college: Oregon) chipped in 15 points. Five Eagles players scored in double figures. American guard Dezmine Wells (196-1992, college: Maryland) produced 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Eagles will meet at home Nanjing in the next round where they are favorite. Blue Whales will play against Shandong H. in Jinan and hope to win that game.

Beijing outrebounded Tianjin P. 44-33 including 34 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Sanning Liao who scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Reggie Perry (208-2000, college: MSU) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Five Royal Fighters players scored in double figures. American guard Quinndary Weatherspoon (190-1996, college: MSU) produced 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard Javion Hamlet (193-1998, college: N.Texas) added 19 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Royal Fighters will meet at home Xinjiang in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
