Sturgeons used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Nanjing 104-80 on Tuesday night. Fujian S. dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Jiangsu Dragons 's 40. Fujian S. forced 19 Jiangsu D. turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Fujian S. made 10 blocks. The best player for the winners was American point guard Isaiah Briscoe (190-1996, college: Kentucky) who scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Yang Zou chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Feron Hunt (203-1999, college: SMU) produced 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import guard Rob Edwards (196-1997, college: Arizona St.) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
