Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.
The most exciting game of round 28 in the WCBA took place in Penglai. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Beijing Great Wall (11-14) to third ranked Sports Lottery (12-13) 90-87 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Beijing Great Wall. Shandong forced 20 Beijing turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Yang Hengyu (194-1995) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 5 assists. Australian forward Alanna Smith (193-1996, college: Stanford) contributed with 15 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Guard Zheng Ming (178-2001) replied with 20 points and 4 assists for Beijing. Beijing Great Wall's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Shandong maintains third position with 12-13 record having eight points less than leader Wuhan. Beijing at the other side keeps the fifth place with 14 games lost. Shandong are looking forward to face Hebei (#6) in Hengshui in the next round. Beijing will have a break next round.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Dragons (17-9) against fourth ranked Henan Phoenix (16-8) on Monday night. Visiting Dragons were defeated by Henan Phoenix in Jiyuan 80-62.
