The most exciting game of round 28 in the WCBA took place in Penglai. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 5th rankedBeijing Great Wall (11-14) to third ranked Sports Lottery (12-13) 90-87 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Beijing Great Wall. Shandong forced 20 Beijing turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Yang Hengyu (194-1995) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 5 assists. Australian forward Alanna Smith (193-1996, college: Stanford) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Guard Zheng Ming (178-2001) replied with 20 points and 4 assists and American-Bulgarian center Khaalia Hillsman (196-1996, college: Texas A&M) added 13 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Beijing. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Beijing Great Wall's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Shandong maintains third position with 12-13 record having eight points less than leader Wuhan. Beijing at the other side keeps the fifth place with 14 games lost.
