Kuwait - South Korea 36-86 South Korea thumped Kuwait to earn the second win in Jordan. The Koreans built a comfortable 46-21 halftime advantage and raced to the win after the break. Jang Hyeokjun (193-F-2006) produced 22 points and 9 rebounds for South Korea. Adel Alsaied (187-G-2006) knocked down 15 points for Kuwait. Indonesia - New Zealand 43-89 New Zealand fired past Indonesia for the second win in a row in Group D. The Junior Tall Blacks secured a 41-20 halftime advantage and eased to the win in the second half. Tamatoa Isaac (188-G-2006) notched 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for New Zealand. Ketut Prayoga (186-SF-2007) replied with 10 points for Indonesia. Qatar - China 43-99 China improved at 2-0 record in Group C as they eased past Qatar. China established a 50-25 halftime advantage and never looked back en route to the win. Sifeng Huan (209-C-2007) and Li Liu (211-C-2007) tossed in 13 points each for China. Mohamed Ndao (193-G-2007) answered with 15 points for Qatar. Lebanon - Australia 46-78 Australia stormed past Lebanon to gain the second straight win in Jordan. Australia recorded a 37-23 halftime lead and cruised to the victory in the second half. Jacob Furphy (196-SG-2006) came up with 28 points to lead the winners. Anthony Nabaa (200-F-2006) had 15 points for Lebanon. Mongolia - Taiwan 46-92 Taiwan raced past Mongolia to claim the first win in Group A. Taiwan went on a 57-27 second half rally to seal the victory. Jayden Jones (183-SG-2007) came up with 20 points for Taiwan. Temuujin Enkhbat (184-PG-2006) and Tuvshinjargal Gantulga (185-SG-2006) posted 10 points each for Mongolia. India - Iran 53-70 Iran outgunned India for the second straight win in Group B. Iran piled up a 37-29 halftime advantage. They protected the lead throughout the second half and raced to the win. Mohammad Heydari (192-G-2006) tallied 18 points and 10 rebounds for Iran. Mohammad Ishan (200-C-2006) replied with 14 points and 9 rebounds for India. Jordan - Philippines 62-56 Jordan overcame Philippines to post the first win in Group D. Jordan led by just 2 points at the big break 36-34. The hosts limited Philippines to just 22 points in the second half and rallied to the victory. Saif Saleh (F-2006) posted 14 points and 15 rebounds for the home side. Mark Reyes (180-PG-2006) netted 14 points for Philippines. |
