UAE paved their way into the semifinal stage of the Arab Basketball Championship. They outscored Algeria to stay in the title hunt. Demarco Cristian scored 25 points to lead the winners.
UAE dominated in the first half. They grabbed a comfortable 47-32 halftime lead. Algeria went on a strong 21-13 run in the fourth period but stopped just short of win at the end. Hamid Albreiki (190-F-2000) delivered 15 points for the winning side. Seyyid Bensalah (1991) answered with 16 points and 13 rebounds for Algeria.
