Arab Basketball Championship: UAE top Kuwait for second win in Cairo

United Arab Emirates finished Arab Basketball Championship Group stage at 2-2 record.They held off Kuwait in Cairo tonight. Demarco Cristian scored 19 points to lead the charge.
UAE sank 32 points in the first period to take a 10-point lead. But Kuwait responded with a 26-16 rally in the second term to tie things up at 48 at halftime. Kuwait surged ahead in the third term. They established a 6-point advantage heading into the fourth stanza. But UAE triggered a 24-14 rally in the final frame to snatch a narrow win. Qais Alshabebi (200-C-1991) tossed in 16 points and collected 10 rebounds for UAE. Ahmad Albaloushi (182-PG-1990) replied with 19 points for Kuwait.
