Lebanon celebrated Arab Basketball Cup 2022 title beating Tunisia in a triller 72-69. Both teams entered the Final game undefeated as Tunisia grabbed a 21-18 lead. Lebanon replied with a 19-13 run in the second period, whilst Tunisia took the lead back with a 20-15 rally in the third quarter. Sergio El Darwich (193-G-1996, college: Maine) later tied it all at 68:68 and then he nailed another baskets from the free throw line for 72-69.
Wael Arakji (194-G-1994) top-scored for the winners with 22 points and Mohamad Haidar (203-F/C-1990, college: Michigan Tech) brought 15. Sergio El Darwich followed them with 14 points in a win. Mohamed Hadidane (207-PF-1986) replied with 18 points in defeat, whilst Omar Abada (189-PG-1993) notched 17.
