Lebanon have won Group B of the Arab Basketball Cup 2022. They edged Algeria 83:66. The latter grabbed an early 18-15 lead after the first period, however could not match the opponents in the rest fo the game. Lebanon replied with a 24-19 run in the second period and nailed 30 points in the third quarter.
Wael Arakji (194-G-94) stepped up with 23 points and Mohamad Haidar (203-F/C-90, college: Michigan Tech) added 15. Ater Majok (208-C-87, college: UConn) scored 11, whilst Sergio El Darwich (193-G-96, college: Maine) and Hayk Gyokchyan (203-F-90, college: F&M) had 10 each. Kamel Ammour (203-F-91) replied with 16 points in a loss and Touhami Ghezzoul (209-C-87, college: N.Dakota St.) notched 11.
