Rather expected game when 3rd placed LebaneseAntonine (1-2) was defeated on the road by leader Libyan Al Ahly Tripoli (3-0) 89-72 on Monday. Al Ahly Tripoli outrebounded Antonine 45-23 including a 34-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Cuban-Puerto Rican center Ismael Romero (205-1991) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). American guard Marcos Knight (191-1989, college: MTSU, agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 8 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists. Four Al Ahly Tripoli players scored in double figures. Al Ahly Tripoli's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Forward Marc Abi-Kheres (197-1994) produced 24 points and 5 rebounds and American Ricky Ledo (201-1992, college: Providence) added 21 points respectively for the guests. Al Ahly Tripoli have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending Libyan champion maintains first place with 3-0 record. Loser Antonine keeps the third position with two games lost.
