RAIN or Shine found Chinese Taipei-A too much to contain as it lost to the host, 98-79, in the opener of the Jones Cup Saturday at the Taipei Heping Gymnasium. The Elasto Painters never recovered after falling by as many as 40-23 in the opening period. It was a 20-point deficit by halftime. Andrei Caracut (178-G-1996) finished with 18 points, while naturalized player Ange Kouame added 16 in a losing cause for the Elasto Painters. The Elasto Painters have 24 hours to shrug off the losing experience as they face Chinese Taipei B on Sunday. |
