Iran posted the sixth victory at the tournament as they rallied past Indonesia. Vahid Dalirzahan (199-SF-95) posted 18 points and 8 rebounds to lead the winners. Iran accumulated a 37:27 halftime lead. Indonesia managed to narrow the gap in the second half but could not avoid the defeat. Rasoul Mozafari (188-SG-94) netted 14 points for the winners. Kore White (205-F-89, college: S.Florida) answered with 23 points and 7 rebounds for Indonesia.
Canada - South Korea 94-99
South Korea handed the first defeat to Canada in Taipei. Ricardo Ratliffe (203-F-89, college: Missouri) notched 34 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the winners. South Korea established a 47:41 halftime advantage. Canada unloaded 29 points in the final period but could not escape the loss. Lee Junghyun (190-SF-99) had 25 points for the winners. Shaquille Keith (196-F-93) topscored with 23 points for Canada.
Japan - Taiwan B 88-67
Japan cruised past Taiwan B behind 14 points and 16 rebounds from Avi Schefer (203-F/C-98). Japan grabbed a 50:26 halftime lead. They unloaded 38 points in the second half to cruise to the victory. Gen Hiraiwa (198-C-97) and Keita Imamura (191-G/F-96) had 11 points each for the winners. Oscar Kao (183-PG) replied with 17 points for Taiwan B.
Philippines - Taiwan 77-76
Philippines escaped with a narrow win over Taiwan to gain 5-2 record at the tournament. Joseph Nieto (185-G-97) netted 13 points for the winning side. Philippines eked out a 36:35 halftime advantage. The teams went neck and neck throughout the second half but Philippines hung to snatch a narrow win at the end. William Navarro (192-F-97) had 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Cheng Liu (192-F-90) responded with 24 points and 10 rebounds for Taiwan.
