3D Global Sports Canada is proud to announce that University of Windsor Men's Basketball Coach Chris Oliver has joined the 3D Global Sports Team coaching staff as the head coach for the upcoming 40th William Jones Cup. "It is an honor to represent our country, and I am humbled to have this opportunity. I'm particularly excited to be asked to serve as head coach in a tournament as rich in tradition as the Jones Cup." - Chris Oliver . Oliver is the current head coach of the University of Windsor Men's Basketball Program and most recently finished his 13th season with the program and brings over 20 years of coaching at the Canadian University level with stops at Queens, McMaster, and Victoria before his most recent tenure at the University of Windsor. A three-time OUA Men's Basketball Coach of the Year, Coach Oliver has amassed an impressive record of 168-69 in conference play and has captured six OUA West regular season titles, two OUA West playoff titles, a Wilson Cup Ontario Championship, and earned three berths to the CIS National Championships. "I would like to thank 3D Global Sports for giving me the opportunity to lead and work with an organization that creates such incredible exposure opportunities for players and coaching staffs through life experiences, travel and participation in international competitions." - Chris Oliver . 3D Global Sports expects to announce the training camp, full roster and coaching staff for the 40th William Jones Cup in the coming weeks, leading to the tournament held in Taipei, Taiwan from July 14 to 22.

Japan - Canada 84-99 Canada outscored Japan to improve at 7-1 record in the ladder. Terry Thomas nailed 25 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to lead the winners. Canada dominated right from the start. They established a 52:37 halftime lead. Canada dropped 47 points in the second half and cruised to the win. Shaquille Keith (196-F-93) had 18 points and 8 rebounds for Canada. Indonesia - Iran 62-66 Iran posted the sixth victory at the tournament as they rallied past Indonesia. Vahid Dalirzahan (199-SF-95) posted 18 points and 8 rebounds to lead the winners. Iran accumulated a 37:27 halftime lead. Indonesia managed to narrow the gap in the second half but could not avoid the defeat. Rasoul Mozafari (188-SG-94) netted 14 points for the winners.
