Falando Jones gets MVP of the Week award for West Asia Super League (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced American Falando Jones (193-SF-1990) put on an amazing game in the last round for Al Wahda Damascus and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 22.
The 35-year old had the game-high 30 points adding eight rebounds and four assists for Al Wahda in his team's victory, helping them to beat Astana (#10, 5-3) 99-89. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Thanks to this victory Al Wahda moved-up to the 13th position in West Asia Super League. The season is still in it's early stage, so the team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings. They lost 6 games and had just two victories. Jones turned to be Al Wahda's top player in his first season with the team. Falando Jones averages this season 16.9ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-F-1990) of Shahrdari Gorgan. Hamilton impressed basketball fans with 40 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Gorgan lost that game 89-95 to slightly higher-ranked Al Riyadi (#9, 6-2). The third best performed player last round was American Maurice Kemp (203-PF-1991) of Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut (#9). Kemp scored 25 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. He was a key player of Al Riyadi, leading his team to a 95-89 win against slightly lower-ranked Gorgan (#11, 3-4). Al Riyadi needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 2 lost games. Kemp has a very solid season. In 7 games in West Asia Super League he scored 18.0ppg. He also has 7.0rpg and a FGP of 63.5%.
