The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Kuwaiti Kuwait as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Kuwait smashed one of their biggest challengers UAE Al Sharjah in Kuwait City 115-81. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Kuwait forced 21 Al Sharjah turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists. American point guard Charlie Moore (183-1998, college: Miami, FL) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 8 rebounds, 17 assists and 4 steals. French center Joffrey Lauvergne (211-1991) contributed with 31 points and 11 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) for the winners. British center Kavell Bigby-Williams (211-1995, college: LSU) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 18 rebounds for Al Sharjah. Al Sharjah's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with 3 other teams. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Deshawndre Washington (201, college: NM State, agency: The Crew A.M.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 7 rebounds and 14 assists and Assane Boye who added 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 blocks during the contest. American JaJuan Johnson (208-1989, college: Purdue) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds.
