Round 7 (Regular Season): Gorgan roll past Astana

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Iranian Gorgan as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Gorgan defeated 3rd placed Kazakhstan Astana at home 91-75. Gorgan outrebounded Astana 39-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-1990, college: Texas) fired 25 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American-Guinea-Bissau point guard Parrish Petty (185-1988, college: UTRGV) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Lithuanian guard Adas Juskevicius (194-1989, agency: Alti Sport) produced 20 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Al Riyadi. Astana at the other side still closes the standings with one game lost. They share the position with Al Wahda. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Al Riyadi - Sagesse 87-80

One of the most interesting games of round 7 was a derby match between two teams from Lebanon. The game took place in Beirut where leader Al Riyadi won against visiting Sagesse (0-2) 87-80. American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-1990, college: Texas) answered with 20 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and the other American import guard Erick Green (190-1991, college: Virginia Tech) added 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Sagesse.
