Jones number one in West Asia Super League for round 3 (by Hoops Agents)

American Jamal Jones (203-SF-1993, agency: Slash Sports) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Al Kuwait SC, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 32-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Al-Ula (1-1) 113-108. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Kuwait is placed at 2nd position in West Asia Super League. Kuwait is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. In the team's last game Jones had a remarkable 88.9% from 2-point range. He turned to be Kuwait's top player in his first season with the team. Former Texas A&M University star has very solid stats this year. Jones is in league's top in points (7th best: 25.5ppg) and averages impressive 65.2% FGP.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Al-Ula's star - American guard Jonathan Gibson (188-PG-1987). Gibson got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for five rebounds and seven assists. Despite Gibson's great performance the Al-Ula lost 108-113 to #2 ranked Kuwait. But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Al-Ula needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 1 victory and 1 lost game. Gibson has a great season in West Asia Super League. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 34.5ppg (2nd best) and assists with 5.5apg (9th best).
