Alshabebi number one in West Asia Super League for round 5- January 21, 2023
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Al Bashaer (#8, 0-4) with 31-point margin 92-61. It allowed Shabab Al Ahli to consolidate first place in the West Asia Super League. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Shabab Al Ahli already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. Alshabebi has many years of experience at Shabab Al Ahli, through which he has constantly improved. Qais Alshabebi averages this season 15.8ppg and 8.8rpg. The second best player in last round's games was young Mohammed Alsuwailem (211-C-1998) of Al Hilal. Alsuwailem had a very good evening with a double-double of 21 points and 16 rebounds. It was enough for Al Hilal to edge the lower-ranked Kazma (#7, 1-3) 92-87. Al Hilal's 3rd position in the standings has not changed. His team's 3-1 record is not bad at all. Alsuwailem is one of the most experienced players at Al Hilal and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
